So anyone who knows me, knows I love Christmas! And I am a huge fan of ornaments! I even worked at an ornament stand at the mall one Christmas! It was so much fun! So I was trying to come up with ideas on how to tell the kids about the new baby! I had been picking up ornaments here and there at random places when I caught them on sale!
That's it! Ornaments, that's how we'll tell them! I told a couple of people and they were like ornaments?? Yes, my kids know me so this wasn't that odd! I actually found a Christmas ornament that had 6 little faces with Santa hats that I personalized! The last one said baby!
So this is how it went, unfortunately It went kind of fast so I wasn't able to videotape it but it was classic and the 6 of us will always remember that moment!
Me: Hey guys I picked up new ornaments..they are so cute!
Madison: Really mom!?
Me: Yes, Madison!
As they look at each individual ornament, Madison has a volleyball one, Chase has a little boy, Justin has a soccer ball, Macy has her ornament from Macys, and I have a green polka dot "N"! Everyone loves their ornament!
Then we get to the family ornament and...
Madison: Really mom you went ahead and bought a ornament with 6 of us!
Me: Yes!
Chase: Madison what does it say?
Madison: It says baby!
Chase: But we don't gots a baby!
Justin: Yes we do!
Chase: Where?
Justin: In Mommy's belly!
Madison: Mom your having another baby?? Really??
Me: Yes!
Madison: Are you joking?? Are you sure really?
Me: Madison yes dear!
They then began to all kiss my belly, tell me they loved me and organize seating arrangements in the van, Haha :)
They were so sweet! It was the best moment ever! They kept kissing me all day and smiling, I knew right then we had the best crew and it was gonna all be ok!
